Volunteer

I decided to volunteer my time for our second project. I figured since my goal was 10 hours for my first project (which ended up 20 hours). I should shoot for 8-10 hours this time.

Ideally I would have been able to volunteer at: Habitat for Humanity, the Tacoma Mission, a VA home & a food bank. I was unable to get a hold of anyone at any of these facilities with the Memorial day weekend. I also needed authorization that I was not able to obtain.

I went to Real Life Family Center (RLFC) & donated my time Friday May 25th for 1 hour and chopped a Cost-Co sized bag of green onions (didn't know they could make your eyes water too).

Next, I went to RLFC's resource center & donated my time on Tuesday May 29thth for 6.5 hours.

When I was there on Tuesday there were 98 families given groceries for the week.
There were also 110 meals served for the Celebrate Recovery ministry.

Although my volunteer goal was 8-10 hours (I did 7.5) I feel very proud that I helped serve 208 meals!

Jeanine Butcher at RLFC helped with resource center & Sean Reinicke as ministry leader. 253.846.3875
